Terms and Conditions


  • Definitions

    "Company" refers to Plaistow Electrical Wholesalers Ltd. "Contract" refers to any contract between the Company and the Customer for the sale and purchase of goods. "Customer" refers to the person(s) or company whose order for the goods is accepted by the Company. "Goods" refers to any products or services which the company supplies to the Customer.

  • Conditions

    All orders are accepted by the company subject to and in accordance with the following Conditions of sale which override and exclude any other terms stipulated, incorporated or referred to by the Customer. No variation to these Conditions of Sale are permitted unless expressly authorised in writing by a director of the Company.

  • Prices

    The price of the products and/or the services shall be as quoted to the customer. Additional carriage costs (if applicable) are excluded from this price unless otherwise stated. All prices are quoted in £ sterling, excluding VAT, for which the customer shall additionally be liable.

  • Packing

    Where it is necessary to despatch goods on cable drums, pallets, cases or other such packing, a charge will be made for this. Unless otherwise specified, this amount will credited in full upon the return, within one month of the hitherto mentioned items in good condition, carriage paid. No charge will be made for any other form of packaging and no credit will be allowed for its return.

  • Loss Or Damage In Transit

    The company shall repair or replace free of charge goods damaged in transit or not delivered in accordance with the Advice or Delivery note, provided that written notification is received within 5 days of receipt or 14 days of non-receipt of goods. Where the goods are collected by the Customer, no claim for shortage or damage will be considered.

  • Payment

    Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due without deduction on or before the last working day of the month following the date of invoice. If the customer fails to make payment by the due date, the Company shall be entitled to:

    1. Cancel the order or suspend any further deliveries.
    2. Charge interest (both before and after any judgement) on the amount unpaid at the rate of 2% a month, until payment is made in full.
  • Delivery

    Goods held in our warehouse are usually delivered the next working day on the U.K. mainland, although bulky or fragile items may take longer. The Company will use reasonable endeavours to meet delivery estimates but in no circumstances shall it be liable to compensate the Customer for non-delivery or late delivery.

    Unless otherwise stated in writing, the company shall be entitled to make partial deliveries of the goods, subject to availability. Such goods will be invoiced on the date of despatch. Delivery will be made to the address specified by the Customer.

    Upon completion of all deliveries, the customer is responsible for protecting the goods against loss or damage until payment in full has been received.

  • Return Of Goods

    Goods supplied in accordance with a Customer's order will not be accepted for return without prior consent of the Company. If consent is given, a goods return reference number will be issued for use on all paperwork appertaining to the returned goods.

    All returned goods must be undamaged and in their original packing. The Company reserves the right to levy a re-stocking charge as and when it sees fit.

  • Title Of Goods

    The ownership of goods supplied by the Company shall remain the property of the Company until such a time as payment in full has been received. In the event of default of payment, the Company shall be entitled, without previous notice, to retake possession of the goods and for that purpose, to enter upon any premises occupied or owned by the customer.

  • Credit Account Application

    A credit account application form is available upon request. The customer will be required to furnish the Company with one Banker's and two trade references , along with a copy of letter headed paper containing particulars of the Customer.

  • Customer Orders

    The Company reserves the right at any time, without explanation to:

    1. To refuse to accept an order.
    2. Cancel an order.
    3. Suspend deliveries against an order.
    4. Refuse cancellation of an order.

    No variation of an order will be recognised unless otherwise agreed by the Company in writing.

  • Copyright

    All drawings, descriptions and other information submitted by the Company, together with the copyright therein, shall remain the property of the Company.

  • Carriage

    1. Non-Chargeable Carriage
      1. All deliveries falling within the M25 boundary are despatched free of charge next working day before 5 pm.
      2. All deliveries falling outside the M25 boundary with a net value of £100 or more are despatched free of charge next working day before 5pm.
      3. Where a contractual arrangement has been agreed between the Company and the Customer for a particular project, carriage charges for that project may be waivered. For further information, please contact the sales office.
    2. Chargeable Carriage
      1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Company, all deliveries falling outside the M25 boundary with a net value of less than £100 will be despatched, subject to a carriage charge, next working day before 5pm.
      2. For urgent orders the Company can offer a range of competitively priced special delivery services from next day "timed" deliveries to same day deliveries. These services are all chargeable, the prices for which, vary from order to order. For a quotation, please contact the sales office.
  • Product Information

    The Company has made every effort to ensure that the details, information and illustrations printed in this guide are accurate. However, the Company's policy is one of continuous improvement and the right is reserved to alter details and information as the need arises. Accordingly, the Customer should check any details and information they wish to rely on with the Company at the time of purchase.

  • Minimum Order Value

    There is no minimum order value.

  • Quality Assurance

    All goods detailed in the catalogue have been processed and stocked in strict accordance with standard quality procedures approved to EN ISO 9001: 2015 certification and BS EN ISO 14001 certification unless indicated otherwise on the despatch documentation. PEW also holds certification for BS EN OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management)

  • Guarantee

    The Company warrants that it will, at its option, replace products supplied in which under proper use defects appear, or repair the same, or refund the purchase price thereof, subject to the claim being made in writing to the Company within 12 months after despatch, or such other period as may be indicated by the Company for specific products from time to time. If loss, damage or deterioration (other than for death or personal injury) is caused by the Company's negligence, the Company's liability shall be limited to the invoice value of the goods.

  • Choice Of Law

    All contracts between the Company and the Customer shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the Customer submits to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Justice in England, but the Company may enforce any such contract in any court of competent jurisdiction.

  • PEW Website

    All quotations or orders completed online may be subject to a carriage charge. PEW reserves the right to change / withdraw, or offer alternative products, if those selected from the PEW on-line store are unavailable or have been discontinued. For validity of quotations please refer to the 'terms and conditions' as detailed on the quotation received from PEW.

  • Data Protection

    By completing any form requiring personal data and submitting it to PEW, you are agreeing to PEW holding your personal / company information in accordance with the data protection act.

    At times, PEW may use your information for the purposes of their own marketing, however. your details will not be passed on to any third party without your consent.
