Load Weighing Units
Load weighing units are designed to signal when the lift car is fully loaded or overloaded. This is measured in one of three ways:-
- By measuring the tension increase on the traction ropes supporting the car.
- By measuring the deformation of the elevator crosshead.
- By measuring the descent of the car's floor on the rubber buffers when the car is loaded.
