Emergency Light Pack

Emergency Light Pack

The E4/36 will sustain any T5 or T8 fluorescent lamp from 4W (150mm) to 36W (1200mm) in the non-maintained mode for 4 hours. Current regulations state that a lift car should be provided with a minimum level of illumination in emergency conditions, so although, say, a small 8W or 13W fluorescent lamp satisfies this required level in a small lift car, it stands to reason that neither lamp will be sufficient to provide a similar level of illumination in a larger lift car. The E4/36’s ability to sustain both small and large lamps solves this problem, making it the ideal choice for both small and large lift cars.

The unit is ideally suited to confined areas where space prohibits the use of conventional emergency light fittings. The unit is usually mounted remotely (no further away than 3metres) from the fluorescent tube it sustains, by means of a fly-lead kit. A test facility is provided by means of a push button, which simulates mains failure. LED charge indication is also provided. Detailed in the table below are a selection of lamp and lead kits which include both the fluorescent tube and fly-lead kit. However, fluorescent tubes (see page 290) and fly-lead kits (see page 304) can also be ordered separately.

When ordering an E4/36 emergency light pack, please ensure that you order the appropriate lamp and lead kit.
