LED T8 tubes have now superseded conventional fluorescent tubes.

LED tubes offer a number of benefits and features, including:-

  • Low environmental hazard as no toxic phosphor, mercury or lead.
  • Recyclable.
  • Flicker free.
  • High shock and vibration resistance.
  • Provides equivalent lumen output of conventional fluorescent lamps.
  • Reduction in power consumption (hence running costs) by approximately 50%.
  • Works with standard switch start ballasts or if electronic control gear is fitted they can be wired directly to mains.
