LED T8 Tubes

In the UK alone, we dispose of more than 250 million fluorescent tubes each year. Many of these are not disposed of in the correct manner, exposing both people and the environment to toxic and hazardous materials.

LED T8 tubes are the next generation solution to replace conventional fluorescent light, offering a number of benefits and features, including:-

• 50,000 hour life, so minimal replacement costs.
• Low environmental hazard as no toxic phosphor, mercury or lead.
• Recyclable.
• Flicker free.
• High shock and vibration resistance (ideal for lift cars!).
• Provides equivalent lumen output of conventional fluorescent lamps.
• Reduction in power consumption (hence running costs) by approximately 50%.
• Finned base (see fig 248) leads to rapid heat dissipation, enabling tube to run ‘cold’.
• No ballast or control gear is required.
• Available in four sizes, 600mm, 900mm 1200mm and 1500mm.
