Water Detection Kits
The water detection kit consists of one or more point detection probes (PDP1) which are designed to detect all conductive liquids like water and coolants, a leak detection module (LDM1 or LDM2), which can monitor up to ten probes for larger detection areas and 10m of 4 core screened signal flex (TACH4) .These kits are best suited to applications involving lift wells at risk from flooding due to either tidal, river basin or water table fluctuations.
The probe is best mounted near to the critical leak detection area, ie. a location where the leak can be detected prior to damage being caused. It can either be floor, wall or surface mounted and the stainless steel conducting probes are height adjustable.
The leak detection module is available in two formats, enclosed (LDM1) and DIN rail mounted (LDM2). Model LDM1 provides both visual and audible indication for both 'power healthy' and 'leak detection', however, model LDM2 has no audible alarm. Both models also feature a set of volt free relay contacts enabling integration with a pump, external alarm or emergency autodial equipment. The module can either be mounted close to the detection area or up to 200 metres away where integration with a building management or other control system is possible.
