Removable Pit Ladder

Manufactured from lightweight aluminium, the removable pit ladder is ideal for situations where it is unsafe or impractical to mount a fixed one. Its design features anti-skid rungs spaced vertically at 255mm, changeable anti-skid shoes and a 5mm thick, fully adjustable steel chequer plate hook profile (see figs 6, 9). This hook profile protrudes 100mm from the ladder and is designed to sit in the door track or groove of a telescopic or centrally opening lift door. The hook profile is mounted on two guide rails, making it fully adjustable over a vertical range of 1000mm. This feature ensures a safe angle of ladder inclination across a broad range of pit depths. To avoid tilt back, the hook profile is fixed to the guide rails at a permanent angle of 20 degrees.

An optional heavy duty wall mounting bracket complete with FB1 padlock ensures safe and secure wall storage (see fig 10).

Alternatively, a metal chain assembly (complete with 2mts of chain, hook, hook plate and fixings) designed to secure and/or retrieve the pit ladder, is also available.
