Fixed Pit Ladder
Pit ladders are the main form of access/egress to and from the pit during times of installation, maintenance and repair. We offer a selection of both fixed and removable ladders.
Manufactured from mild steel and finished in regulation safety orange, the fixed pit ladder is 300mm wide and has an overall length of 1500mm. The ladder is supplied with 2 pairs of pre-fixed wall brackets and 1 pair of pre-fixed floor brackets, enabling either exclusive wall fixing or wall/floor fixing (see fig 1). All screws and rawlbolt fixings required to secure the fixed pit ladder are also supplied.
A 600mm long safety grab rail complete with wall mounting brackets is also supplied (see fig 4). This is also available as a separate order item as well if more than one is required.
The fixed pit ladder is fully load tested to maximum static vertical load 150kg or 23.5 stone.
If a longer length ladder is required, we offer a 500mm modular extension section, pre-fabricated with ‘fish tail’ extension plates, which secure quickly and easily to the main body. An additional set of wall brackets is supplied with each extension section.
