CAT 5E Networking Cable

Application
CAT 5E networking cable is a multi-pair (usually 4 pair) high performance cable that consists of twisted pair conductors, used mainly for data transmission. CAT 5E cable is recommended for all new installations, supports a frequency range of up to 100MHz and is designed for transmission speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second (Gigabit Ethernet).
CAT 5E networking cable is also available in foil screened and LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) formats.
Construction
Solid class 1 copper conductor to BS6360 with a Polyethylene insulation and a grey, metre marked, PVC sheath. For LS0H CAT 5E cable, the sheath is purple, metre marked.
The screen (where applicable) is constructed from Aluminium Foil.
