Leak Detection Systems

Leaks not only threaten the environment, people, equipment and your business, but they are inevitable in today's technically complex environments. They can be disastrous if not discovered quickly. They may do a lot of damage and be difficult to clean up, even dangerous!

However, if detected quickly, a leak serves timely warning that fast action at an early stage can limit damage and interruption of service. That is why many insurance companies are now insisting on a leak detection system and why consulting engineers are now specifying them. The bottom line is that a leak detection system is a smart investment!

PEW have teamed up with AquiTron, the leak detection specialists, to develop a range of systems that can detect the presence of both hydraulic oil and/or water within the lift workplace, namely the elevator pit and machine room area.

The basic principle of a leak detection system is to detect the presence of water/liquid and then activate a leak alarm, which in turn will alert an operator or control system.

Leak detection equipment falls generally into two divisions, water detection and liquid detection (fuels, oils, chemicals and water)
