Cordless Power Tools; Batteries and Chargers

Unless otherwise stated, our complete of range of 18V cordless power tools are supplied as 'BODY ONLY'. This is because, within each supplier's range, one battery and charger will power most tools of the same voltage.

This means that you do not have to buy a separate battery and charger for every tool that you need, (as long as they are from thesame manufacturer).

Simply select your battery and charger, choose the tools you need and use that same battery and charger to power all of them. However, please note that we also offer 'complete kit' deals (ie. power tool, batteries and charger) for a selection of 18V DeWalt tools.

Lithium-Ion batteries offer a number of advantages over their Ni-Cad equivalents, including:-

  • Delivering 420% more working capacity during their lifetime.
  • Providing a longer run time with fade free power.
  • Weighing 20% less.
  • Holding their charge much better, even over a long period of storage.
  • Recharging at a faster rate.

As a general rule (unless otherwise stated), our range of Dewalt and Ryobi tools will accept either Ni-Cad or Lithium-Ion battery/charger options, whereas our range of Makita tools will only accept Lithium-ion.
