Housed in a mild steel enclosure, this stand alone unit is designed to indicate when a lift car has reached a floor level. This indication is by means of both an audible sounder and a visual indicator. A three hour maintained battery back-up is provided, enabling continuity of operation in the event of mains failure. The detection unit has an output of 12V DC and can be operated using mechanical or magnetic proximity switches.
