PEW Speedfit Shaft Lighting and Power Systems
PEW's new Speedfit range is an entirely new concept in shaft lighting and power installation.
During trial tests, a 15 floor Speedfit shaft lighting kit reduced installation time by 65%, compared to a traditional hard-wired conduit type installation.
Speedfit has taken the concept of 'plug and play' to the next level. This unique 7 wire system enables installation of multiple combinations of standard mains lighting, emergency lighting and power within the same circuit.
Speedfit's unique flexibility makes the retrospective installation of additional light fittings, switches and power sockets both simple and fast.
Speedfit light fittings are IP65 rated 'weatherpack' type, available in both 2ft and 4 ft twin, standard or maintained emergency.
Each light fitting is pre-wired at both ends with a 1.5 metre length of 7 wire LSOH cable and plug, giving an approximate distance between light fittings of 3 metres. This distance can be adjusted by using our range of extender leads.
All Speedfit components are pre-wired and mounted on fixing brackets. Another unique feature of Speedfit is that the light fitting brackets run vertically down the back of the fitting, requiring only two fixing positions. Most other types on the market use lateral brackets containing four fixings per light fitting. It doesn't require a maths degree to work out that PEW Speedfit fittings can be installed in half the time!
Speedfit shaft lighting kits are available from 2 to 20 floor *. As standard, we offer the following combinations of kits:
- All fittings are standard mains.
- Every 3rd fitting is maintained emergency.
- Every 2nd fitting is maintained emergency.
- All fittings are maintained emergency.
* Note that for kits of 15 floors or more, there may be a requirement for an additional supply circuit, dependent on current draw and voltage drop.
Vandal Resistant Car Lighting
PEW offer an extensive range of recessed and surface mounted vandal resistant luminaries, specifically designed for use in lift car and motor room lighting applications.
We have recently launched our new angled stainless steel car light, which has proved so popular that demand is outstripping production!
All models are available in either standard mains or maintained emergency and comply to current lux level requirements.
