Sheave Groove Gauge

The sheave groove gauge is designed to test for worn grooves and thus is manufactured to a specific diameter plus a tolerance. This size allows the groove to have a slightly larger diameter than the wire rope that it supports. When the gauge is placed in the groove, the geometries should match without any space at the sides or the bottom.
